Hello!
I truly appreciate your interest in my (deviation name removed)! It's encouraging for growing artists to see work insprired by their own. But it's common curtesy to give a link in the artists comments to the deviation your work was inspired by or to the artist, so that credit goes to the proper person. Your drawings of my designs are very good, but the idea is not your own. I don't mind if you recrate them, but please note somewhere that they are based off of my work. I really appreciate it!
Thank You!

I thought that I was being polite, in fact most of friends said I was being too nice. But I didn't want to start out accusing someone. I didn't get a response from this person, so after a few days I sent a violation report, and the deviations were taken down in a few weeks. I'm not going to mention the persons name, because I'm not going to be responsible for starting a flame war, but I appreciate the DA help desk for dealing with the matter so quickly.
In other news, I've just been informed by my supervisor that I'll be job-shadowed by a local high school student who wants to get into Graphic Design. Now, if the situation were different, I'd be thrilled, but I'm afraid this person is not going to get their time's worth out of me. I'm not proffessionally trained or anything, everything I know has been self-taught, out of necessity. I'm feeling very under qualified. And right now we're not that busy, so my boss had the "brilliant" idea to have ME set up some mock art requests... I'm really not sure about this.
